This Herbes de Provence Blend is a fragrant mixture of dried herbs and lavender. Considered a timeless favorite in French cooking, easy to create and a great way to add flavor to almost any dish. This season blend is bound to have a permanent spot in your spice cabinet.
Prep Work for the Season Blend
You can find most of the herbs listed below at your local grocery store or here in my spice cabinet. The culinary grade lavender can also be found here.

Ingredients Needed for Herbes de Provence Blend
2 tbsp dried thyme
2 tbsp dried oregano
2 tbsp dried tarragon
1 tbsp dried rosemary
1 tbsp dried fennel seed
1 tbsp dried lavender (culinary grade)
How to Make Herbes de Provence Blend
In a small mixing bowl combine all ingredients thoroughly.
Store in an air tight container away from light, heat and humidity (like your pantry or spice cabinet) for 6-12 months.
Notes and Modifications
This was my first attempt at a season blend but it’s a classic and comes in many variations. Some other herbs to add or substitute are marjoram, sweet basil, and savory.
